Tobias has wrapped up a very busy 2002, with many highlights coming late in the year!

He spent much of the fall flying back and forth to Germany to tour with superstar Nena. They played shows all over Europe to excited and very enthusiastic audiences. Some of the key events during these trips include playing the 54th Bambi Awards (the German media awards) on November 18th. Other musical artists that performed there were Rod Stewart, Anastacia, Bro'Sis and Cecilia Bartoli, as well as many celebrities such as Halle Berry and Michael Jackson. They also played the Die Eins Live Krone 2002 Awards Show, where Nena was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award on December 5th. In addition, Tobias was honored to record Nena's song Wundergeschehen (basic translation: Miracles Happen) with the legendary Rod Stewart in Cologne on December 4th. The song will be released in the New Year and the proceeds will be given to a children's charity in Germany. The greatest thrill, however came on December 9th, where Tobias received his first Gold Record for his performance on Nena's new album, Nena featuring Nena. Hopefully, the first of many!

Another major project for Tobias is drumming with Royston Langdon's (Spacehog) new band. He has had a great time with them and has enjoyed playing short tours throughout the Northeast and Midwest. The audiences have been great and have included the likes of Joaquin Phoenix and Liv Tyler (of course!). Tobias is looking forward to doing some work for Royston's upcoming album.

On November 10th, Tobias performed at the prestigious Montreal Drum Fest. He was thrilled with this whole event, pleased with his performance and excited by the reception of the audience! Standing ovations and all! He was also completely honored and humbled to share the stage with all of the amazing drummers that were featured. He thanks everyone involved for their help and support.

In early September, he completed recording an album with a new artist named Tony C and the Truth, of which he is a member. Tony C recently signed to Lava/Atlantic Records. Remember the name because he is touted to be the "next big thing"! He is similar in style to Kid Rock, but has the voice of a delta blues singer that raps! The album is slated to be released in February 2003. We're told by Tony C's manager, Naomi Kukoff, that his drumming "rocks" and is "quite explosive" on these tracks!!

In July, Tobias recorded three new tracks for the critically acclaimed rapper/singer Everlast (Tommy Boy Records). The album will be released next year.
